AGILIA SCREED A
Agilia™ Screed A is ready within 24 hours and suitable for foot traffic under suitable drying conditions within 48 hours. Partitions can be erected seven days after placing. Compressive strength range 16 – 40 MPa.
Equs is proud to be the exclusive supplier of Lafarge Agilia™ Screed A. A new flooring solution composed of a synthetic anhydrite binder used in this self-consolidating floor screed. The binder sets by drying, eliminating the need for moist curing and allows floor coverings to be added sooner. Screed A is easily pumped and placed, adding to the many other advantages Agilia™ Screed A has to offer – and why it is a smarter alternative to traditionally bagged floor toppings.
The production and quality of Agilia Screed A are monitored regularly based by internal quality control testing to the requirements of the CSA A23.1-14 standard.
10 Advantages of Agilia Screed A
1. PROPERTIES
The high flexibility of Agilia Screed A reduces the need for construction joints (up to 10,000 sq.ft without joints) and eliminates the need for reinforcement.
2. EASE OF PLACEMENT
Typically a crew of 3 or 4 can pump up to 40,000 sq.ft per day.
3. FASTER FINISHING TIMES
Agilia™ Screed A is ready within 24 hours and suitable for foot traffic usually within 24 to 48 hours. Partitions can be erected seven days after placing. Typical compressive strengths are 16, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 MPa.
4. SURFACE AESTHETICS
Agilia™ Screed A provides a smooth, flat surface for the application of most floor coverings with minimal or no cracking and no curling.
5. REDUCED THICKNESS
There are significant material weight savings due to reduced design thickness. Agilia Screed A is well-suited for radiant floor heating applications as it is typically applied and with only 25mm required above the pipes.
6. IMPROVED HEAT EFFICIENCY
Reduced thickness enables the system to release the heat quicker and more efficiently. The full consolidation around the heating pipes is tight, due to the flowing nature of the screed which eliminates voids and air pockets. The thermal conductivity of Agilia Screed A is up to 3 times more than that of cement-based screeds.
7. HEALTHIER MATERIALS
This anhydrite binder is composed of 99% recycled materials, which is protein free and will not harbor bacteria.
8. SAFER SITE CONDITIONS
Agilia Screed A requires little or more often no grinding and contains no silica. Quality materials combined with our state of the art grinders equipped with dust collection systems ensure air quality. Equs is committed to being an industry leader in on-site health and safety standards.
9. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
There are LEED® credits available when using Agilia Screed A under the Materials and Resources and the Indoor Environmental Quality sections of the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) LEED Certification Guide.
10. QUALITY CONTROL
The production and quality of Agilia Screed A are monitored regularly based on internal quality control which is in accordance with the requirements of the CSA A23.1-09 standard.
